San Marzanos are the tomatoes that Italian chefs love. They’re longer than your usual plum tomato, but here is what they love: thick flesh, proper sweet flavor, and crucially, not as much water content and fewer seeds.
While they are famously used for sauces, they are also delicious in salads, sandwiches, and other fresh preparations. Some people find their flavor and texture to be best suited for cooking, while others enjoy them fresh as we do here at Sunny Valley!
