Weeping Willow Tree – Graceful Shade Tree for Water Features & Landscapes

The Salix babylonica – Weeping Willow is a large, graceful form, known for its crown of wispy, long-sweeping branches, and slender, finely toothed leaves. Its yellow twigs and green foliage are often one of the first indications of spring. Its graceful habit is effective as a specimen at the edges of ponds and lakes or any low spot in the landscape that retains water.  It works well on slopes to prevent erosion.  This tree is a larval host plant and attracts specialized bees while being mildly resistant to damage by deer.
