MAINTENANCE NEEDS:Medium Maintenance. Foliage is susceptible to rust, leaf spot and anthracnose. Spider mites and Japanese beetle can also be problems. Taller stems many need to be staked. Intolerant of wet soils. Though an annual, can self seed and create colonies that persist as if they were perennials.
