African Market Baskets™ works directly with artisans and families located in Ghana in order to source these beautiful handmade products. African Market Baskets™ are strong, durable, colorful and completely hand-made. Each basket is unique, super functional, and vibrantly colored. They are made using a type of river grass known as “elephant grass” and produced by local weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana. The baskets featuring leather handles are wrapped in goat skin for comfort and durability.
The rubber-wrapped handle arches over the top for easy carrying. The rubber is recycled from bicycle tire innertubes
These make the perfect gift basket. They can be filled with fun items such as chocolate, tea, soap or lotion.
