Description
Summer Wine Ninebark is a compact native deciduous shrub with a freely branching upright habit and branches that gracefully arch with age.Its 3-5 lobed wine colored foliage may green up in the summer heat before returning to wine red as the weather cools. Small white or pinkish-white flower clusters bloom in late spring into summer. Grows best with afternoon shade in the South and dry to medium well-drained acidic soil.
